Connects Usine to a KNX building automation installation using the KNXnet/IP protocol. The connection is shared by name with the Network KNX Group Send and Network KNX Group Receive modules, which can be placed anywhere in the workspace. See KNX for more info.
Two connection modes are available:
tunneling connects to a KNX/IP interface or router (unicast, one connection per tunnel). This is the most common setup.
routing joins the KNXnet/IP multicast group 224.0.23.12 directly, without a gateway connection. It requires a KNX/IP router on the network.
Name identifying this connection. KNX Group Send and KNX Group Receive modules refer to the connection by this name. Several connections to different gateways can coexist, each with its own name.
IP address of the KNX/IP gateway (tunneling mode). In routing mode this field is ignored, unless it contains a multicast address, which is then used instead of the standard 224.0.23.12 group.
UDP port of the gateway, 3671 by default.
Connection mode: tunneling or routing.
KNX individual address (ie. 15.15.250) used as the source of the telegrams sent in routing mode. Ignored in tunneling mode, where the gateway assigns the source address.
Opens the connection.
Closes the connection.
Sends 1 value while the connection is established.
Flashes when telegrams are sent or received on this connection.
KNX individual address of the connection: assigned by the gateway in tunneling mode, or the local address in routing mode.
Current state of the connection as a string: connecting..., connected, reconnecting..., error, etc.
Opens the connection automatically a few seconds after the workspace is loaded.
Determines the ability of the connection to reconnect automatically on connection failure or gateway loss.
Traces all incoming and outgoing telegrams in the trace-panel, showing the source individual address and the destination group address. Useful to discover the group addresses used by an installation.
Button. Opens the manual page of the selected object (or of its parent module for a control) in the web browser. If no page exists for this object, an error is traced in the trace panel.
For more details about information/help creation, see create-help-file.
Free multi-line text attached to the module, saved with the patch. It is only meant as an internal note for the patch designer: it is not displayed in the interface.
visible only in god mode, see setup-panel-tab-expert.
Read-only, not saved. Current private numeric ID of the object, used internally to identify it (for example as the target of a bind ID).
Read-only, not saved. Private ID used to store and recall the values of this control in presets.
Button. Generates a new unique ID, original ID and preset ID for the object. Use it if you experience difficulties in Polyphonic mode or if two objects share the same ID. Preset values and binds referring to the old IDs are lost.
Read-only, not saved. Absolute address of the object in the Usine objects tree, built from the workspace root. This is the address to use to reach the object from scripts, the objects panel or remote messages. Only shown for objects that are registered in the objects list. See objects-address.
Read-only, not saved. Address of the object relative to the current patch, valid inside that patch only. See objects-address.
Free user-defined address for the object (empty by default). When set, the object is also registered in the objects tree under this name, so it can be reached independently of its position in the workspace (the value is also reported in the mouse-over and mouse-down chunks). Changing it rebuilds the objects list. Only available on objects that support a user address. See objects-address.
