steps

step color

Color used to fill the steps (bars, switches or triggers). Steps that fall on the big step interval use the big step color instead.

step opacity

Opacity of the steps, from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque), multiplied with the global opacity of the panel. Default 1.

show mouse cross

When ON, cross-hair lines (drawn in the grid color) are displayed through the step or point under the mouse pointer while the mouse is over the panel: a horizontal line at the value height and a vertical line at the step position. Default ON.

cursor fills step

When ON, the play cursor is drawn as wide as one step, covering the whole current step, instead of a thin line of cursor width pixels. Default ON. Only on triggers, switches and bars; ignored in the small bars draw mode.

big step color

Color of the big steps, drawn every big step interval steps (first step included) instead of the step color.

Example with big steps in Blue.

big step interval

Number of steps between two big steps, in the [0..32] range: with an interval of N, steps 1, N+1, 2N+1... are drawn with the big step color. 0 disables the big steps.

When ON, a one pixel border is drawn around each step with the step border color. The border is only drawn when the steps are wider than 4 pixels.

Color of the steps.

draw mode

Determines how the module draws the steps (only for bar steps):

• bars: each step is a bar drawn from the bottom of the panel up to its value.
• symmetric: each step is a bar drawn from the vertical center of the panel, upward or downward according to its value.
• small bars: only a small bar is drawn at the height of the value.
• lines: see the example below.

fill mode

When ON, the area under the line (or the curve) is filled with the fill color at the fill opacity; when OFF, only the line is drawn. Default ON. Only for lines and points curves.

fill color

Color used to fill the area under the line or the curve.

Blue fill color

Opacity of the filled area, from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque), multiplied with the global opacity of the panel. Default 1.

horizontal scale

Scale used to spread the steps horizontally:

• normal: the steps have all the same width.
• log: the steps follow a logarithmic (frequency like) scale, narrower on the left and wider on the right. Not available on triggers and switches.

Color of the line drawn through the step values (lines and points curves).

line width

Line width (thickness) in pixels, in the [0..100] range. Default 3.

*pixel and 4 pixels line on a data-generator-sequenced-lines.

pixel color

Color used to draw pixels and lines.

pixel size

Size used to draw pixels or lines.

point size

Radius in pixels of the circles drawn at each point of the curve, in the [0..100] range. Default 5. Also used, added to the select tolerance, to find the point under the mouse.

points color

Color of the circles drawn at each point of the curve.

select tolerance

Extra distance in pixels, added to the point size, within which a mouse click selects a point of the curve. Range [0..100], default 2: higher values make the points easier to grab.

show points

When ON, a circle of point size pixels is drawn at each point of the curve with the points color; when OFF, only the curve is drawn.

vertical scale

Scale used to convert the step values into heights:

• linear: the height is proportional to the value.
• logarithmic: logarithmic scale, more resolution on the low values.
• exponential: exponential scale, more resolution on the high values.
• frequency: scale adapted to frequencies in Hz. Not available on triggers and switches.

When ON, the value of the step or point under the mouse pointer (formatted with the format and the symbol of the module, or as a note name for MIDI notes) is displayed in the top-left corner of the panel while the mouse is over it. Default ON.
