Hi usinerZ, Ive got one fader that contol differents CC relating to a list box of 4 values

if list = 1, cc =1 ect. actually when I change a list box the fader stay the same, normal.

what I dlike to do is that when ie I move the fader while being on list1, if I swich to list 2, move the fader, and go back to 1 it refresh to where it was when leaving list1. in other wordz that each "page" 1-2-3-4 store fader value and refresh when I go to that page.

this is not relly a pb asI think I can patch it, but just thought there were tons of way to do that, would be interested to see how you would to that: strore in array, in 4x faders, preset manager (that I recently discover, amazing!), conductor (that i don't really know yet...), or maybe even the good old multivar ?

edit: ok tried this and work nice, a wait one was not enough so, store preset on in chang, wait 40ms before swiching preset.
(again the preset manager is awesome, I think I now catch what u where talking about guru Vs live...)

if some have othe ideas still interested...

Don't have time to test this idea right now, but I reckon that a patch centered around the Dispatcher module would work ok.

Ok, I took the time...:

Like this, for instance?

I'm pretty sure it can be done with an array and Get/Set Array Element Value modules as well, but back to work I guess :)

hey sorry bsork didn't saw your post today, wonder why it wasn't bolded...

thank ya for taking time (at work hehe), gonna try right now, will also test with array to compare, ll try to inform what are the advantages of each tech. thx ;) the preset manager setup is cool but add little latency and could be boring if other elt in the patch have to not be stored, but If I remember ive seen somewhere we can "not store" things. ( i really need to reinstall my printer and print the doc/help :) mm gonna check )

... so Ive tried your patch bsork but doesn't seem to work, (don't bother too much as the preset trick do the job for me )t he pb is when you switch list box, the new swiched fader also updates with last values, whereas it should recall last "stored" value, as if you were swiching "pages".
Ive tried to reproduce with set/get array with same pb, as soon as I swich "list bank", the fader directly updates... but will rework on it there should be a solution....

Sorry, I obviously misunderstood what you meant by "stored values". In fact, I'm not quite sure what you mean now either... And what you do mean by "switching pages"?

Do you always want to go back to a preset/stored value every time the list changes? Something like; stored value1=10 and value2=20. When you control value1 with the fader you change value1 to 15, and when you change the list to control value2, the input fader changes to 20. Upon returning to control value1, the input fader is set to to stored value 10, and not the last selected 15.

Is this the behaviour you want?

that's me that is sorry, not very clear ;)

nope, I dlike to have the last selected 15 value on recall;

ie I got only one fader and a list box. move fader when list is 1 from 0 to 10, going to "page" 2 is changing list to 2 (not clear I reckon :) ) then moving fader value to 20, if reseting list to 1 fader updates to 10 (recall last value), if reseting list to 2 fader updates to 20.

Maybe I'm slow here, but your description sounds like the patch I suggested. Anyway, I'f for an extended Easter Holiday (early!) tomorrow morning, so I won't do much here on the forums for the next couple of weeks.

A Happy Easter to all Usiners!
