I've done this before, but I switched computers, and now I can't figure out how to do it again....

Haven't been able to track it down in the manual wiki.

Thanks,

you can hide individually all elements in the settings panel of master panel and synchro panel
Or you can use the protect mode ? ( type protect on your keyboard)

I've hidden everything in the audio part of the header, but there are still level meters there, and no way to hide them. So I have an empty black bar up top, which is not what I wanted.

And now I have no idea how to unhide the transport. But I never use it so I guess that's okay.

I will try the protect mode.

Okay, I can't seem to hide the header using protect mode, but I am hiding a lot of controls I don't want to. Again there is no hide control for audio out, and my synchro is already hidden.

I just want the screen space to see my wkp on this smaller monitor.

okay, I need to 'hide master' and 'hide synchro' but then I lose half my menu on the left side.... crucially controls for opening the context menu I just want to hide the header, because I never use it.

Okay, I tried setting keycommands to open the windows, but the command to hide/show IB (I.e., make it possible to patch) doesn't work when protect is on.

Maybe you could have a WHERE for synchro and master. I'd put them in the toolbox, that would work great.

you can create button like show menu with a master module and set it to IB, then switch to protect mode and obtain something like

well now, that looks nice!!

But can you still get to patching?? just via 'find in patch'?

I'll check into it....

this is only per wkp, correct?

Makes me wish there was some subset of patching that could be global. Like IB background color (which I DON'T like being global....)

Like Devices....

Okay, that was a little more complicated than I expected, but it works.

First off, you need two buttons, one in the control panel and one in the IB. I made the one in the IB trigger the other one (thru a pass if changed). Although the IB/Patch is a two-way switch, it is not controlled with a switch, but rather with a button that toggles. Not really a problem so far.

The other problem is that when you switch to patching, the grid is automatically opened. So from the switch in the IB I wired a count MSec module running into a passIfChanged into a button into the grid input. This waits for the grid to open, and then the next button press closes it again. I don't see it at all, so it must close before it even has a chance to open.

I like my new control panel, and I'll just put it in the first patch slot of every WKP.

Thanks!!!

Oops.

Once you hide the buttons,IB switch stops working, and the button stops working, just like the midi learn on the original menu button did :(

Darn, I was so excited!!

Yes, it looks like just being in hide mode disables control over the IB switch (even if all the hide items are unchecked), although the menu button still works.

And "find in patch" from the menu also does not work.

Unless there is a patching trick I didn't figure out??

Frustratingly close. Boy do I like having the whole screen for the IB. I guess I will just be turning hide on and off a lot.
