Hi,

Is there anybody who could help me to write a patch for changing the pitch of a sound in the entry of my sound card ?

Example : I play guitar in Audio IN 1 and i want to hear the sound of my guitar 8 semitones under ?

Thank you

Hi cmodica,
Well, it looks like a "pitch shifter", right?
Unfortunately, I cannot help you to build such a patch, but I suggest you to try some VST. The problem with pitch shifters is the latency. Or the sound. Or both! Have a look there , maybe...

Thank you,

Yes it looks like a "pitch shifter". I already try some VST, but i 'd like something more simple. Just a pitch shift ...

In the Usine Sampler module it is possible to pitch a sample in real time. I 'd like something like that apply to the audio in.

Thank you
have a nice day

Hello,
Create a pitch shifter is an hard job. So hard that I've never heard a good one... as a VST with usable latency in live situation.
It looks similar to the sampler pitch modification but in fact nothing to compare.
Try all the VST's you can, maybe you'll find something that works with your purpose.
Let us know if you found it!
Everybody needs a good pitch shifter.

I made a pitch shifter that I'll post as add-on soon.
Not really perfect but give good results.
Works only with the next version of Usine.
(arrive soon)

Thank you very much Olivier for your Pitch Shift II !!! It is great and so simple ... It is exactelly what i need !! You're fantastic !!!

I tried a VST plugin too, which seems to be very cool. It is the "Pitch-shifter" and you can find it here :

If you play just with the fine knob it is sound like a good real time pitch shifter.
