Tell us what you'd like Usine to do

Hi Olivier.

It's not so important, but it seems that more and more VST are shared without GUI. The host is supposed to provide one by default.
I don't know if there are many hosts that can do that but Usine, maybe, what do you think?
Of course, those VST have to be interesting, but who can decide if a VST is useful or not?

when you select the VST plugin module you have an access to all the parameters in the panel.
Maybe you want to have a separate windows?

I'm not quite sure, but I think practically every host has a way of presenting GUI-less VSTs in more or less elegantly presented lists. Some (at least Steinbergs') also let you open up the list interface instead of the proper GUI if you want.

I must admit I like a nice picture with practical and instructive ways of adjusting the parameters, but I think the llist interface is a good thing for a number of reasons:
- Separating the "real" program from the visual representation of it mostly increases quality.
- If the developer simply isn't interested in creating a GUI - why bother? It may only have a couple of parameters anyway, and no real need for visual feedback.
- Saving computer resources.
- I suppose creating skinnable VSTs is simpler.

Having said that, I think it's pretty certain that some complex VSTs are a lot easier to deal with through a good GUI, and when you see the parameter names listed in a lot of them, you better have a GUI to decipher what they represent...

Sure, but since there is a "form visible" switch... and the real reason is here:
