make a script or a module to enhance matrix

Hi
I use the matrix addons which is fantastic.
But i would use the last column selected function
and i meet one trouble because it gave me the last selected column even i made the cell off.
to avoid that i had to make this ugly subpatch:
Do you know if it's possible to do simpler ?
