I was curious if there was ever a plan, or possibly a way to encode the REC out as MP3.
I share works and examples many times as MP3 because of limitations of sending size.
I don't necessarily like to do so, but a must in many cases because raw .wav is too big, or popular sharing does not accept .wav.
Would be nice to be able to do a process to encode, when the recording is stopped...even using free Lame encoders.
I do so now using Sonar, had me thinking if there was anyway to trigger, with the current output filename.

MP3 output encode?
Unfortunately probably not because the conversion is CPU hungry and not suitable in a realtime context.
The audio in usine is recorded in realtime.
moreover, they are so many audio editors which can do that very easily, so....

I guess I could script a LAME encoder to do the MP3 conversion as a patch. Just for convenience.
I agree there always are so many audio editors. I just find myself in Hollyhock more than any of them
