Is there a way to send different tempo or time signature information to a VST than what is being sent from the Master Tempo?

Have you tried the Interface Control/Syncro/Local Synchronization module?

I'm at work now, so I haven't done much testing, but I checked how one of the HeliosII LFOs reacted, and it followed the local tempo as it should. Don't know about time signature, though, and I haven't got any means to try it. Does the VST clock really contain info about that?

On the other hand, I also tried the Analog Delay, and that one didn't follow the tempo at all - neither global nor local. I'm not sure, but I think I've used this one with tempo sync before without problems.

No, but I will experiment.

There's some esoteric time-send info from hosts that VSTs receive which I've learned about, oddly enough, doing bug reports for beta testing plug-ins. Not all hosts send this info, but it can't be all that complex. I guess I'll have to rifle around in the VST SDK and see what the exact message parameters are.
