Hello
I'd like to know if it's possible to start the playing of a file in the sampler each time i select the line where the sampler is placed.
i need to play my sample only one time (loop impossible).
for example i have 2 samplers on the two first lines of 2 tracks. when i go to the second line i get another sampler with another file
on the track 1 wich replace the first file. in meantime i have nothing on the second line of the second track so the first file is keeping playing.

Have you try the active line module ( in interface control) with a data bus can do the job..?

i wanna make one 'clip' patch and 'usine session view' too, im thinking about it from a while.
don't know if Matrix or usine grid based yet and no time for now but it could be very powerful with usine, even better
than live own session view, wich ie can't rec automations while usine's one could, and much more.
.
from the stuff i l thought about, to be more efficient, for a big session, i think you shoudn't have a sampler per 'clip', but just one sampler per track, as anyway in live for exemple, a track only play one clip at time.

then a clip contain several infos like define the sample nb in track sampler, it's pitch or various other settings, some modulations/automation curves ect, so i came to conclusion the best optimized and simple way imo is to make a patch that contain the sampler with all you will need to control, (ie a line module to rec som vol automation) then this patch got a preset manager. with this system a clip is equivalent to a preset, and you recall a preset either from matrix cell nb or usine grid
line nb. that way you could have ie just one sampler loaded with all sounds, clicqing line 1 trig preset 1 wich ie means
sample 1, pitch 0, fade in volume curve. then you copy paste preset to 2 and choose either to keep same sample nb but with a different curve automation, or a different new sample nb ect...

Thank you 23fx23 it's a great idea.
In fact i'd already though at this solution.
The only problem i find is that we can't editing a preset without launch it.
how can i do if i want modify for example the automation without launch it ?

yup you are right, i didn't thought deep about that part yet. indeed that would be be cool to find a way to edit a clip /preset without launching it . mmmm pretty sure some buffer trick would do the job.

. Maybe the 'master' clip patch has 2x sets of the controls. one set for the ones it really use internally, recalled by presets,
the other set contrlling this 'real set' in a master-slave fashion. letting us ie draw some automation, choose pitch ect 'offline' then transfert all the values on press of a button to the real used set. then if cool we save the preset.
will test that.
