The goal in this example is to record a one bar loop of audio from the Bassliner patch into the Grain Sampler which is synched to bar, and then be able to speed it up and slow it down without the loop playback getting messed up, and of course stay in synchro to host bar.

I can slow the loop down from the original speed of 120 bpm and bring it back up without issue, but the problem is when I increase the speed of the loop, the end of the loop gets chopped off worse and worse as the tempo increases. Then when the tempo returns to normal, the end of the loop is still chopped off.
If I double my recording time, the problem no longer occurs but then I have to have two bars of audio recorded to play back only one...

Would setting the recording time and calculating the speed from ppq be a more solid solution than calculating from tempo?
or...what am I doing wrong?
