Somewhere I swear I saw a usine module that created curves on an xy plane, and allowed the mouse to be used to add points which would smoothly interpolate. I remember thinking--this is just the right thing for a velocity scaling map.

Did I dream this?? I can't find it anywhere in the modules.....

there is the module :
data/Lines,steps,switches,curves/curves
and also ( as you say 'create with mouse " ) the user curves in sequencer mode...?

If you want, you can use the Scale MIDI Data patch in the MIDI Utilities pack.

Ahh, THAT was where I saw it. Although I remembered it differently.
