midi learn

Is it possible to do a midi learn on a button for exemple, using midi data from another track?

I haven't been able to do it experimenting with midi bus or midi in...

could you explain more what you want to do...?
for example , you could use any of the the data out of a midi in --->data send bus---> maths if needed ( /127)--->data get bus....?

you should be able to do this by sending midi out to one of the midi programs like midiyoke, maplemidi or loopbe and using the out port as an in port in usines remote settings - then you can do a midi learn on anything really. i used to do this all the time with ableton and i don't see why usine would be any different. i don't think usines internal midi busses will work for this though as they are strictly internal - you would need to use something like midiyoke to get the midi out of usine and back to the remote port.

@nay-seven: i just need to trigg a button with a midi note. I can do it but, i was just testing at home, and i haven't got my drumpads or midi keyboard with me. It was just curious about this...Always good to ask when you don't know, as this forum is really helpfull.

@clearscreen: That's what i've done with maple midi. Thanks anyway...
