There's a range fader and that's good, but for same reason we have knobs as alternative to faders, I think it's about time we get range knob.
It should work as follows: X axis for moving range position and Y axis for closing and opening the range.
Along the way usual range fader behaviour could have a fix too, currently if you start to close/open range by moving cursor/finger up and down, you no longer able to move range left and right until you grab the range again. Maybe it should be an option, I get that in some cases you might want to have range close and open from initial center.
So knob would be for cases where you could save some UI space for not caring about ability to adjust range min/max position separately. I use RF for spreading values of same parameter in polyphonic patch along the range, but it's a bit of a pain to use in such scenario. is looks like it's more oriented as sampler tool.
