My IB takes up the whole screen, so I have the menu hidden most of the time. The only thing I miss from the menu is 'find in patch'. I am constantly opening the menu, selecting 'show in patch' and closing the menu again. I know it's contextual, and isn't updated until the window is open, so a key-command is not going to help.

A great solution would be to just have an option to put the whole menu under a right-click (it really is a great user interface idea, thanks MS! ) rather than just opening the settings window. Alternatively, a 'show in patch' button somewhere in the settings window would work. Or the option to have the right click on an item open both settings window and patch window.

This is virtually the only reason I ever open the main rack window. I would love to just keep the IB open all the time. And I never like losing screen real estate to a context menu no matter where I am working....

the main problem is that the right click is already used to show the settings panel. I'm not sure it's a good idea to have 2 actions on the same command.
the soluce could be to include the menu in the settings panel itself?
I'll think about that
