I think it would be useful to have option for saving workspaces in their own folders with all used resources inside, like used add-ons, midi clips, samples and even racks. That would simplify sharing projects and also allow to easily add bits from other workspaces to current one.

Hello,

You can use "export workspace". Hollyhock will create a folder with all used resources (audio, video....). In the past, Hollyhock exported racks and patches too, but not anymore, certainely because it is redondant...

Regards

Ok, alternatively, maybe a better approach would be if workspaces could unfold in browser to reveal internal racks and other stuff, to just drag in stuff you need from other workspace.

there is an /setup/expert/ option to also export workspaces with separated racks and patches.
maybe it does the trick ?

For quick extraction of patches or whole racks that are unique to workspace, it does the trick. But as I said, if it was possible to unfold the workspaces like folders and even racks in it (kinda like Ableton can with it's project files), that would be the best. It means that you could reuse some stuff from previous projects on the go with no need to export beforehand. Could be useful in live jams, when you improvise on the spot and nothing is really planned.

in fact in A-live, the save is the same than an export in Usine.

I'll try to create a wkp parser in futures versions of Usine to have an access of patches of a wkp in the browser.
but probably in HH4?

That would be awesome!
By the way, in Live there's just option to save projects in their own folders, so all used samples and midi files are stored there and all versions of the project are stored in that same folder, which is quite handy. That's where the suggestion comes from initially. But even without that option in Live browser you can just peek inside project files and see tracks inside and their midi/audio clips.
