I don't need to see the header when patching. Actually, I don't use it in performance either. It would be nice to have a 'where' input on the sync and master sections. I would put them in the toolbox. Last time I used the header, I only needed it because the master volume got turned down by accident. That probably wouldn't have happened if it wasn't in the header.

The buttons are too small to use with my touchscreen live, so I have controls in the wkp for everything I use.

There are problems with the workarounds to hide the header, as mentioned on the patching forum.

not so easy to implement but I'll think about this suggestion

normally the protect mode should do the trick in your case?

No--- protect mode seems to disable every method of getting to the patching window.
