Hi !
I am trying to send the sound from one patch to another patch (a quad reverb) in another rack.

I want the send to be post fader ie the rack fader

I tried two things but got stuck at one point :

1) get the rack level setting from a "rack" module and multiply it by the desired level of reverb and into a "volume" module to send busses
this works perfect except I can't get the "current rack number" in wich the patch is sitting. I have to set it by hand

2) put the send vol module and the send busses into the device but couldn't display a "send vol" fader on the device (only on the IB) nor use a bus from the patch on the same rack as it need to be in "global" mode to be received by the device.

as I'd like to have a generic device, and generic patches, the bus need to be in current rack.

a way around it would be to not bother with the fader on the device and to do everything from within the patch (I usually use only one patch/rack).

afaik, I'd need a "current rack number" module and/or a way to send busses from a patch to the rack's device

Hi !
found a module named "rack" but no "current rack number" module.

is it planned, or can I make it in fastscript ?

Thanx

Hi Oli,

Funny everyone interested in rack info. I just did a rack count by parsing the wkp file for someone.
Seems it should be available from the IML, that was why my inquiry about the IML being complete in the wiki.
All of that info you think should be available from there.

I thought the same regarding the patch, workspace, and rack modules...seems they need more IO to account for things.
