Maybe it's more like feature suggestion for future HH4, but anyway here's the idea.
UI modules like knobs/faders/etc could sit in separate browser tab or even different UI designer toolbar and be presented in visual form as they would actually be presented in UI, divided in categories with different saved snapshots (including size settings) for each kind of UI element. Then you just drag'n'drop that element in desired place, Usine would recognize it being placed on top of specific object (same as it would with normal item drag'n'drop) and then automatically patch panel would show up where you would have to choose where to place that module patch-wise. and patch it to what you need afterwards. This idea can be further improved by also allowing to edit size and precise placement (like in unlocked mode) for placed element exclusively, then confirm before the patch panel shows up to choose place for module there.
If such thing at all possible, would be cool to also be able to put whole subpatches with multiple controls in similar manner. It would be so much faster to build UI, that it might even be usable in live situations, when you decide to add something, even just controls for existing parameters that you didn't initially plan to edit live.
