This is a tricky one. NI say it's fixed, but it's not fixed for everyone, and one of the hosts that is still not working correctly is Hollyhock.

Basically, if I make a patch with guitar rig, and go into its gui and select a different bank other than the default (which is 'all presets', but since it only responds to patch changes to 128, it's actually 'presets A-C'....) the bank select is not saved with the patch.

It actually works correctly about 30-40% of the time in HH. It opens up with my own preset bank selected, as when I saved it. The rest of the time after loading the patch (or any wkp containing the patch) it defaults back to presets A-C.

NI said it was fixed in the latest version, but it doesn't seem to have changed the behavior in HH. This problem dates back to USINE V5 and before.

I have this problem with no other vst, including all the other NI products. And I cannot figure out a workaround, except to go into every instance of the vst and change the bank to the correct one. And of course all the factory sounds are loud distorted patches, so if there is a power outage, I come back online with lots of nasty new noises.

I've mentioned it to NI before, but you might as well go talk to the moon ;) And of course nobody is concerned with 'Hollyhock Compatibility'.

It is working with most hosts, so there must be a way (???)

Thanks for your consideration,

We'll take a look, change a couple of details in the loading procedure in the v148 maybe it will do the trick?
