Plays a selected part of the file list in prev, next, random and MIDI controlled mode. Triggered by a sequenced switch with selectable gate length (step length or to next trigger).

I've uploaded a new version of the patch. The switching between files didn't always work - guess it was too late at night when I uploaded the first version...

I hadn't actually thought of this patch as a "groove maker" before I created it, but I've found that with rhythmical loops and the gate length set to "to next trigger" with various lengths between the triggers, the result can be quite cool as shorter or longer portions of the sample(s) are being played.

I've uploaded yet another version. In v3 I've added two switches that I think will make the patch a bit more practical in use: One to let the number of files to be played be equal to the number of triggers in the sequenced switches module, another to make editing the file list easier.

I have played with it for quite a long time, i really enjoyed that!!!! As i mention before, i can't find a way of playing long file ??? even when i'm selecting just 1 step, at the end of the sample it just stops and it supposed to go to the next sample within the group chosen according the reading mode ???

As said elsewhere, I didn't really think of this patch as usable for long files and didn't take that into consideration at all. Disregarding the grouping of samples, I wonder what sync mode you've been using for the sampler. Was it "loop", so that whatever the file length, the sample would play once before proceeding to the next file?

yes, it's loop mode, but the fille stay looped unless i increase the steps numbers (it was set on 1) and at this point, the group is working fine but using small portion of the files .... How to make it read the entire file ???

I've uploaded V4, where I've added several trigger options to the existing step trigger. Now there's a loop mode, but also cycle and bar triggers in two flavours: Either the triggers are sent for each cycle/bar and the current file is being cut off, or - with the full length option - the triggers are stopped until the file has stopped playing.

This has become more complex than I imagined when I started patching...

I have just tested the patch and it is really awesome!!!! The features inside are so brillantly organised, it's a so cool tool for beats loops and at the same time can be very smooth now for soundscape and with the possibility of choosing which files are in group, it will allow me to have semi random approach with long files.So it will bring a lot of nice musical surprises because my plan is to use 4 Samplers list grouped at the same time
